There are already a number of groups who advocate the DD package of
"initiatives, referendum (plebiscite) and recall" through citizens'
education and more traditional means. I believe that movement to be
necessary but not sufficient (and also complementary to our movement)
because the people in power have zero incentives to actually act on these
demands; thus the need for political parties founded on the ideals of direct
democracy and for us to help each other win elections, spreading the
movement across the globe.
